EP Aquaculture Concludes Internal Roadshow on Aquatic Health and Food Safety

EP Aquaculture Pty Ltd successfully concluded its first internal roadshow series focused on aquatic health and food safety, held throughout November across all major operational departments. The initiative aimed to strengthen employees’ understanding of the company’s product integrity standards, nutritional principles, and global food safety compliance systems.

Led by experts from the Quality Assurance team, Research & Development, and invited nutrition professionals, the roadshow covered topics such as sustainable feed formulations, microbial risk prevention, traceability protocols, and key international certifications (e.g., MSC, BAP, Organic). Sessions included live case walkthroughs and interactive Q&A segments to ensure knowledge transfer was both relevant and practical.

“Food safety is not just a regulatory requirement—it is an extension of our commitment to excellence and responsibility,”
stated the Head of Quality Assurance.
“This roadshow helped unify how we speak about our products and deepened our technical confidence when facing internal collaboration and external stakeholders alike.”

As part of the initiative, the company also released a new “EP Product Nutrition & Safety Handbook – Internal Edition”, offering a comprehensive yet accessible reference guide tailored to non-technical teams, frontline staff, and commercial units. The handbook includes detailed product nutrition profiles, safety assurance systems, and updated terminology for use in global communication.

Highlights of the roadshow included:

On-site demo of the traceability chain from hatchery to export crate

Group simulation: responding to a food safety inquiry from an overseas client

Interactive quiz sessions and knowledge-sharing among departments

The program received strong engagement across departments, especially from frontline operations, customer support, and logistics teams. Many participants noted the value of understanding not just how the products are produced, but why certain standards and processes are upheld.

Moving forward, EP Aquaculture plans to integrate this training into onboarding for new hires and replicate it across regional hubs in 2026. A digital version of the handbook and key training materials will soon be made available on the company intranet.
